A passion for dogs and people

Mr. Pawfect was created from our love of both dogs and people. Following a number of years in the customer service and hospitality industry and having a passion for dogs our whole lives, we wanted to combine the two and deliver a personal service where we can not only make your dogs feel great, but make you feel comfortable knowing your dogs are left in safe hands.

Here at Mr. Pawfect, we have a real passion for pets of all shapes and sizes, but dogs will always hold a special place in our heart, (when you visit us, you may meet our own show Cocker Spaniels, Bailey & Stanley and the resident dogs, Dorris & Dexter).

We understand that life gets busy at times and picking up a dog brush or bathing your dog can be the last thing on your mind, so we will tailor your pets groom to suit your lifestyle. Whether you want your dog to look ready for the show ring or a shorter style for easier home maintenance, we can offer that for you. Team Dog

Mr. Pawfect has 4 Furry Team Members who have each helped us to understand "what dogs want" each as demanding as the next in wanting the very latest styles whilst enjoying LOTS of attention and of course being told how good they are.

Dorris & Dextor

Two lovable show Cocker Spaniel siblings who reside at the Pawfect premises they both enjoy the simple things in life EAT, Sleep, EAT , play and EAT again. You would have made a mistake if you leave food around because Dexter will have sniffed it out before you entered... its just a matter of time, he will seek food or just anything that he can carry in his mouth.

Dorris is the calm and affectionate type that just wants cuddles and to sit on your lap watching the world go by, but don't be fooled.... she too will know when there's treat or two about.

Bailey & Stanley

Owned by Dean & Wayne or rather Bailey & Stanley own Dean & Wayne as they would see it.

Two adoring show Cocker Spaniels that love spending time with their Daddies and both suitably spoiled. Bailey has recently undergone spinal surgery and unfortunately as a result is slightly disabled by the procedure, but not letting a little operation get him down he is still a feisty little pickle who is pack leader of all the Team (inc us). Bailey has helped us have a deep understanding in handling older dogs and dogs with impediments or disabilities.

Stanley or as we so aptly call him Monkey is a lively happy chappie that has bags of energy and will wiggle walk when he sees a friend and much like Dextor will eat anything he can get his paws on.

Products

Before we start each groom will give your dog a general health check and get to those hard to reach places too. We asses your dogs coat, skin condition and coat type so we can select the best suited products. We do not use a " standard product" as each dog has different requirements in his/her coat.

Each of our products have been selected due to the quality of their ingredients, market leading research, results obtained and never the price. We pride ourselves on using products that achieve the best results and that is appropriate for your dog.

Please let us know if your dog has any allergies or skin conditions as we have soothing shampoos and conditioners that will not irritate your dog. If your dog had been prescribed a medical shampoo from your veterinary practice please bring this along and we will bath your dog with this shampoo for you.

Environment

We strive to create a calm and collective atmosphere inside our salon to ensure your dogs have the most positive experience with us. We use the latest state of the art equipment to reduce stress from noise and sensation from our Bathing station, High Velocity Dryers and our Clippers. Each of these tools have been chosen for their outstanding performance and the minimal stress they put on the dogs themselves (i.e. Noise, Vibration and Motion.)

Each dog is treated like they are our own and receive breaks from the groom at the first sign of stress. We are able to give this level of service as we allow extra time between our grooms so we can ensure each dog receives the highest level of care, love and attention and above all has a safe stay with us.

When your dog is with us it is never left alone or put into a crate and is free to roam our salon and garden area before and after the groom if required. This method gives the dog time to familiarise their new environment and feel safe and secure with us. (they also get a chance to play with their new groomer friends).

Our salon is a calming environment where your dogs will feel relaxed and stress free creating a spa like retreat for them. Fully Air conditioned for those hot summer days and powerful heating for those cold winter months. We will only take a maximum of two dogs at any one time. (Multi dogs households are welcome on same visit). Please advise your groomers if your dog is fearful of other dogs as we can accommodate his/her needs.
